Similar to public-private partnerships, tri-share models are a cost-sharing approach where the expense of child care is divided among the government entity, the employer and employee.
Bright Futures Arizona
The Bright Futures Arizona initiative includes the Working Families Child Care Program, a tri-share model reducing child care costs by up to two-thirds for working Arizona families.
The partnership will match interested businesses’ contributions, up to $400 per child per month, with a state contribution of the same amount. The family pays the rest, potentially cutting costs by two-thirds.
Eligible families are employed by a participating business, have a household income of $150,000 or less, and do not receive other state or federal child care subsidies.
